With fall and a few of my favorite knitting festivals right around the corner, it’s no wonder designers are putting out new patterns like it’s their j-o-b! (I mean… sometimes it is their job but still!) My instagram feed has been popping off the last few weeks so I’ve finally put pen to paper (or pattern to queue) and I want to share with some of my favorite new patterns!
Bobbles & Stripes Shorties by Maya Davis
I’m not a sock knitter… I want to be, but I don’t want to be. The struggle I feel with the whole needing to make two of something concept. I know I can make them two at a time, but I’ve not really mastered that technique quite yet. Plus my first time doing it is with some socks for my husband, which are still on the needles three years later. Socks don’t typically hold my attention, but these ones look so quick and cute that I can’t resist! I have so many mini skeins and leftovers that I could quickly pull together a cute color palette. And I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, I’m a bitch for bobbles. These will for sure be ones I make for wearing around the house this winter!
Ovis Socks by The Petite Knitter
Literally how am I starting off this list with two pairs of socks, but these are so cute I could die! Love the the cute colorwork, and maybe having matching but different socks will help me to hold up my knitting mojo to complete them? This is such a chic pattern, and I’d love to be rocking them sticking out above my own pair of cute boots while I tromp around Rhinebeck this fall.
Bluestone Cardi by Kelsey Stephens
The only new pattern that I actually have an intention on knitting! As soon as I saw this cardigan and her kits hit Instagram, I sent the images over to a non-knitting friend asking her to tell me to make it. We’re enablers in the best way. 😅 I’m so so stoked for this pattern to be my Rhinebeck sweater this year! It’s such a huge undertaking of colorwork, that in itself is a bigger project or challenge than I’ve given myself in a long time. And to add a cherry on top, it’ll be my first foray into steeking! Steeking is something I’ve been wanting to try for a long time, and I’m so thrilled to have such a beautiful pattern to try out this new technique with.

The Kobuk Tea Towel by Darling Jadore
I’m not much one to reach for a washcloth over a paper towel. I’m ashamed! But to make myself feel better about it I say the reason I don’t reach for a reusable piece is because I have to travel to the laundromat for all of our washing still. With our renovation looming though, I want to make a beautiful set of washcloths for the kitchen and bathroom, and this pattern just hits the spot for me!
Bricklane Tunic by Tania Barley
I love me a good long tunic. Especially with being pregnant and knowing that I’ll be giving birth in the middle of winter, I would love to have something big and warm and cozy to snuggle up into with our upcoming little one. I even have some possible stash, but I’m unsure on if the colors and speckles will work well for the pattern. Let me know what you think in the comments!

Until Silence by Sanni Pauliina
Another beautiful stash buster for any of those fingering weight yarns that you may have grabbed for a possible sweater but have languished. The subtle and intentionally placed cabling is giving me heart-eyes, I think it’s such a great way to add a little bit of oomph without making the cables feel like a chore along the entire shawl! Such a well thought-out design that I think would make a great staple for any capsule wardrobe.
Wild Forests by Yamagara Knits

An absolutely mind boggling design! What seems to be to be two color slipped stitches, makes for an extraordinary and completely out of the box pattern. I couldn’t believe looking at this it was two sided and can be work either design at the front. Truly I’m just stunned at this pattern.
I’d love to hear from you! Are you itching to cast on any of these projects? Let me know in the comments!
